The Midland Hotel at Morecambe is a stunning Art Deco Hotel. Or, for the purist : ) it was designed in the Streamline Moderne style of Art Deco.

Standing alone on Morecambe’s seafront, The Midland Hotel offers guests an unforgettable cocktail of sophisticated glamour and magnificent views across the bay and over to the Lake District fells. An ideal place for your parties and events. This really is the most fantastic place for a themed wedding or party.

The Midland Hotel opened in July 1933 and was designed by Oliver Hill with interior decoration by Eric Gill. Throughout its history The Midland has been a favourite haunt of celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Sir Laurence Olivier and Noel Coward. Weddings and Parties at The Midland Hotel

I have performed many times at the Midland for weddings, parties and corporate events and each and every time I have been so impressed  with the attention to detail from Lee-Harry and all the events team. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

However, when describing The Midland Hotel, I don’t think that I can improve on a quote from their wedding page

“Classic art deco style meets modern day glamour in our iconic wedding venue. Our Vintage by the Sea setting provides that extra special backdrop for all of your wedding day photos. The Midland is more than just a wedding venue. It’s an iconic setting to cast your memories in. This modernist vision of marble, mosaics and curvaceous shapes was designed by Oliver Hill finished off with interior decoration by Eric Gill. Impress your guests with the sweeping staircase and indulge in the stunning suites. The Midland is a truly unique hotel, which is perfect for your big day.”
